SARS and tax tips for small business

Registering for VAT: when you must

You are required to register for VAT once your taxable turnover exceeds R1 million in any 12-month period, and you may register voluntarily above R50,000. Registering on time avoids penalties, and we handle the full application and set up your first VAT201 cycle with SARS.

Getting payroll right from day one

Once you employ staff you must register for PAYE and submit monthly EMP201 returns along with the bi-annual EMP501 reconciliation. Accurate payslips and on-time submissions keep both your employees and SARS happy. We run the whole process so nothing is missed.

Why monthly bookkeeping beats a year-end scramble

Leaving everything to year-end means lost invoices, guesswork and a stressful tax season. Capturing and reconciling monthly keeps your figures accurate, makes VAT submissions painless and gives you a real-time picture of how the business is performing.
